The Story

The Story

I’m Emma, and ElevateYourSoulCreations is a celebration of my journey to sobriety, wellness, and better mental health.


In March of 2020, I experienced a stroke that led to multiple hospitalizations, extensive therapies, medical setbacks, a serious car accident, financial hardship, and housing insecurity.

This significant and sustained trauma could have broken me, but instead became a catalyst for the most important transformation of my life. In the midst of so much pain, I chose to build something new and better for myself. I focused on my sobriety, my health, my relationships, and my art. I also began growing a business that inspires others to embrace the beauty in their lives.

ElevateYourSoulCreations was born from my desire to foster growth, peace, and tranquility through self-expression. Since its founding, ElevateYourSoulCreations has brought joy and inspiration to customers throughout the Philadelphia region. I’ve collaborated with amazing local talent, and participated in events that promote the arts in our community.

I’m so excited to share my work with you, and I hope you’ll join me on this journey of harmony, health, and healing for the soul.

The Medium

Fluid art is created by using acrylic paints mixed with solutions to thin them out, and make them more of a liquid consistancy. To thin my paints, I use Floetrol and water. Some of the additives I use for different effects are  silicone and dish soap and all kinds of glazes added to each pour. 
I also believe in sustainability. I use mindfulness as a daily tool in my process. Keeping the earth in mind while creating is one of my core beliefs. We HAVE to take care of this Earth. Its the only one we have. 

There are many different techniques in Fluid Art

  *The Flip Cup - With this technique I layer the paints in the cup and fill to the top.  Then I place the canvas on top of the cup, and hold on and then flip both canvas and cup upside down. Then I'll pull the cup away from the canvas and let the colors flow!

 *The Traveling Pour - First,I coat the canvas with mixed paint in order to create a base coat for the paints to flow more easily. Then, I choose the paint colors and the order they should flow in, and layer them into a funnel. Then after they're layered and ready to pour, I release the bottom of the funnel and they flow out. After that I quickly move the funnel where I want the colors to go. This technique can also be combined with tilting and manipulating the canvas to help the colors flow!

The Tools

I use many tools to manipulate the paint. Its good to have an array of tools for the process. I use some household items and regular painting tools too!
